Trachycarpus fortunei

Add some seriously tropical vibes to your garden with this Chusan Palm. It's huge fan shaped leaves and fibrous trunk look so exotic and are frost hardy. They do still need protection during long periods of cold weather, so wrapping in hessian stuffed with straw or horticultural fleece is a good idea. A sheltered position is also necessary to protect the foliage from scorching winds. Mature specimens will produce arching sprays of golden flowers from the top of the trunk.
