Viburnum davidii

Description:
This evergreen shrub makes excellent bushy groundcover due to it's low, spreading habit and looks great planted en-mass where the large dark green foliage almost floats above the ground.  Viburnum davidii is very tough, tolerating deep shade and dry soil which is often found under mature trees - a tricky spot for most plants. It also looks great in tropical themed gardens due to the leathery elliptic leaves and flattened heads of white flowers which are followed by unusual long-lasting 'metallic' blue-black berries.
