Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis'

Description:
An unassuming tree for most of the year that has its moment of glory when most other flowering plants are dormant. Intermittent flowers through winter lead up to a burst of the palest pink, semi double blossom in early spring. It is so beautiful and uplifting during the dull winter. For the rest of the year it sits as a small, spreading tree and the green leaves make a great foil for other planting. In autumn small fruits are occasionally formed which are good for birds followed by vibrant yellow and orange foliage. This is a brilliant specimen tree for a very small garden.
