This deciduous, low growing foliage plant is perfect for woodland planting and one of the few that thrive in dry shade. Dainty lilac flowers raised on wiry stems above bronze tinged foliage, appear in spring and look lovely with bulbs and other woodland planting. The interesting heart shaped leaves almost shimmer above the ground and provide excellent cover to prevent weeds and moisture loss under shrubs and trees through the growing season.
Aftercare: Remove any tatty leaves before the flowers appear in spring and mulch thickly around the base with well rotted organic matter. If required, divide larger clumps in autumn to propagate and spread.
