This relative of the much loved Amelanchier lamarckii has many of the same benefits. Elegant pale pink toned blossom erupts in April fading to white, then developing into small, edible black berries which are not very palatable so better left for the birds! After flowering, bronze tinged new foliage appears which quickly turns mid-green. In autumn this provides gorgeous colour as the leaves turn red and orange before falling to expose the naked structure of the tree through winter. This small tree has an upright form and is a perfect choice for clay soils, exposed sights and great for wildlife. We love it planted in pairs to mark an entrance or en-mass for real wow factor.
