Hamamelis x intermedia 'Pallida'

Description:
Witch Hazel is classified as a large shrub but we use it as a small specimen tree, for it's magical flush of bright yellow, highly fragrant, spidery flowers in late winter. It looks wonderful underplanted with Snowdrops and Hellebore which flower at the same time for an uplifting pre-spring display. An elegant spreading crown provides a lovely shaped tree when covered in large green leaves in summer which turn bright yellow and orange in autumn. It works well in a slightly shady corner or woodland scheme as a mid-height canopy layer between taller trees and ground cover planting.
