Step three in your garden transformation | Your Designer Visit

Confirmation of your Design Brief

During the meeting with your designer we’ll take a detailed brief.  You’ll have been sent a questionnaire to complete prior to your designers arrival and along with this and any images you have collected it’s your chance to share your wants, needs and budget (if relevant).

Concept Discussions

Now for (what we think) is the fun bit!

During your designers visit, we’ll begin some rough sketching and note taking on to one of the copies of the survey.  This is your chance to shape (no pun intended) the design. We’ll discuss possible layouts, the placement of outbuildings and objects and address any concerns you may have, with creative design solutions.

This is also the point at which we’ll select materials for the garden and talk about the types of plants you like.

From here your designer will leave with:

  • A confirmed brief
  • A clear understanding of what you want
  • Your likes and dislikes
  • A rough layout of the proposed garden design

When back at the studio, your designer will create the Garden SmartPlan and send a digital copy as well as two printed copies through the post.

What if I want to make changes to the concept plans when you’ve left?

To be able to supply this service at a fixed price, any changes made to the plans post concept visit will be charged for on an hourly basis of £120 per hour inc VAT and any additional trips to site will also be chargeable.  If you’re concerned that there’s not enough flexibility in this Garden Design SmartPlan Package for you, you may want to consider using our Design Only service.
