How to clean your powder-coated planters
There are a few things to consider when taking care of your powder-coated planters
Powder-coating is a very thin layer of paint which is applied to your planters. This is designed for outdoor use and very durable, however to keep it in tip top condition, we have a few suggestions:
Never use a power washer as this can peel paint (especially around the base!)
Our five steps to wonderfully clean planters:
- Begin by hosing down the planters to remove any grit, sand or soil which may have splashed up against them.
- Using a bucket of warm soapy water and a micro fibre cloth, lightly wash down (taking care not to get any grit stuck under the cloth)
- Hose down/rinse with clean water
- Dry using a dry micro fibre cloth
- Spray with a stainless steel cleaner and buff with a dry micro fibre cloth
We often use this product and it works well, leaving the planters streak free and with a slight protective coating.
