This is by far the easiest way to operate your garden lighting and perfect if you don’t have great wifi connectivity in the garden or you’re just not that into tech.

Each system comes with one remote controller that can control up to two zones of lighting.

Pro’s:

  • Easy to use. Simple on and off
  • Easy to set up
  • No wifi connectivity required
  • Minimal maintenance
  • Energy efficient – only have them on when you’re around
  • Perfect for rear gardens

Cons:

  • Batteries in the remote will need replacing annually
  • Potential to lose the remote (additional remotes are available at a cost of around £50)
  • Restricted to use when at home
  • No automation possibilities
  • Potentially you will not use the gardens lights as much as you should due to forgetting to turn them on
  • Maximum two zones per remote (this should be enough for most small to medium sized gardens)
  • No ‘welcome home’ ability – you’ll have to turn them on when you arrive home
  • Not great for front gardens and driveways when some daylight automation would be useful

Sounding good? Then we’d recommend our Remote Controlled Driver.  Available in one or two zones/circuits/rings and in combinations of:

  • 1 ring x 60W
  • 1 ring x 100W
  • 2 rings x 60W + 60W
  • 2 rings x 100W + 100W
  • 2 rings x 60W + 100W

What you’ll require:

A 240v outdoor weatherproof socket (installed by a Part P qualified electrician) within 100m of the location the remote will be used.
