2015 was our first year at the Chelsea Flower Show, and although I’d worked at the show briefly on a trade stand with tool manufacturer Spear & Jackson, I’d never created a proper garden at the show.

Sponsored by Welcome To Yorkshire, and constructed by Aire Valley Landscapes, this garden was a celebration of the numerous micro breweries throughout Yorkshire.

Yorkshire is the largest county in England, and so theres no surprise that it boasts the largest number of micro brewers.  In association with Wold Top Brewery, where parts of the garden are now integrated into the wonderful gardens there, the process of brewing beer was brought to life in a fun take on micro brewing.

The garden was popular with beer drinkers and plants people, who admired the wonderful selection of wild flowers which had been grown on matting at Lindum Turf in York.  Roger was a great help and stepped in last unite to save the day, as we had been let down by our first supplier … we now only use Roger!
