Viburnum tinus

Description:
This large and versatile shrub can be used alone as a mature specimen, perfect for year-round screening due to it's dense evergreen foliage, or it makes great medium to large height hedging and is well suited for simple topiary. Large specimens can be trained to form half standards (lolipops) and make wonderful multi-stemmed small trees for planters. The dark green leaves provide the perfect canvas for the clusters of small, creamy-white, honey scented flowers, often pink-tinged in bud, which are produced over a long period in late winter and spring, followed by blue-black berries. Tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions including shade, wind, coastal air, it’s one of our favourites.
