The Vision Book & Garden Design
Once the conceptual Vision Film has been agreed in Part 1, illustrating the potential of your home and garden, we can then translate it into what we have coined as a ‘Vision Book’ for your architect etc. to complete the necessary work to explore bringing the vision to life. The Vision Book is a clear design intent and architect’s brief, capturing the thinking, feeling and purpose behind the vision so it is not lost when handed over to your architect for them to create the technical drawings for the structural engineers and construction team (and securing any relevant permissions required etc.).
The Vision Book will typically include:
- Your brief
- The principal spatial ideas
- A Concept Intent Plan
- The intended relationships between house and garden
- Annotated visual references from The Vision Film
- The design principles that should guide future decisions
After your Vision Book has been created, we can also review your architect’s first interpretation to help ensure the original vision remains intact.
Following receipt your architect’s final plans (via DWG), we will then create the following garden design drawings which your architect may or may not advise including in your planning application (if required):
- General arrangement
- Landscape SmartPlan
- Lighting & Planting Palette
- Ground Map
HOW MUCH DOES PART 2 | THE VISION BOOK & GARDEN DESIGN COST?
- Package 1 Part 2 | Rear Garden & Rear House Facade – Ideal for terraced and semi-detached homes | £6800
- Package 2 Part 2 | Rear Garden & Rear House Facade – For larger detached homes | £8,200
- Package 3 Part 2 | Whole Home – For terraced and semi-detached homes | £14,400
- Package 4 Part 2 | Whole Home – For larger detached homes | £16,600
PLEASE NOTE: Properties involving extensive grounds, several buildings, listed structures or particularly complex requirements will be considered individually. We will confirm the appropriate level, scope and fee for Part 2 following completion of Part 1 (to reflect the scale and complexity of the property and garden).
Payment terms for Part 2:
We’ll invoice for 50% of the Part 2 package price before we create The Vision Book. The usual turnaround time for the creation of the Vision Book is around 6 weeks.
Once your architect sends us the final plans (via DWG), we will then invoice the second 50% for Part 2 before we schedule and complete the garden design plans (which your architect may or may not advise need including in your planning application, if required). This is a creative process and the garden design plans usually take around 2 months+ from us receiving the final plans from your architect (depending on the complexity and our current workload).

WHAT HOME REIMAGINED IS NOT
Home Reimagined does not replace the work of an architect, structural engineer, interior designer or other professional consultant or building professional.
The package provides a conceptual vision that is intended to be used as inspiration and for illustrative purposes only to show the potential of your home and garden.
We cannot guarantee that our concept will be possible until the relevant professionals have assessed it. To bring our concept to life, you will need to appoint an architect and the relevant qualified professionals to assess and determine what is achievable, and to ensure regulatory compliance before starting demolition and/or construction etc. – for example, to develop the vision, for planning and structural design, to verify feasibility and safety, to secure any relevant permissions, and to provide construction information and technical advice etc.
Our role is to provide you with a clear brief and concept you can give to your architect and building team to capture the essence of the vision.
We have been designing gardens for over 20 years, and, since 2017, helping our clients to reimagine the connection between their home and garden.
